Welcome to Toy Soldiers Wiki
Toy Soldiers is a series of tower defense games created by Signal Studios. Two toy-factions are pitted against each other with one or both sides attempting to get units into the other's Toy Box. Turrets are built by one or both sides to defend choke points and routes to the Toy Box, while various ground and air units attack the Toy Box. The series uses tower defense styled gameplay while also allowing you to control the units directly!

History and Future of the Toy Soldiers Game Series

History

The original Toy Soldiers, in the Wiki referred to as "Classic", was released March / 03 / 2010 on Xbox Live Arcade as part of their "Summer of Arcade" program. Toy Soldiers: Classic was released for Windows on April / 27 / 2012 and is currently available on steam. You fight mostly in battles within the First World War on the side of either the Entente (British Empire and France) or the Central Powers (German Empire). With one exception...

A sequel, Toy Soldiers: Cold War was released August / 17 / 2011 for Xbox Live Arcade and Windows on October / 26 / 2012. In this game, you are put into the cold war that got hot.

A pack containing both games, called Toy Soldiers: Complete was released on steam on February / 28 / 2014. However, the WW1-based Toy Soldier game is based on the Toy Soldier: Cold War engine and therefore differs from the Classic in many ways.

On August / 11 / 2015, a third entry, Toy Soldiers: War Chest was published in collaboration with Ubisoft. You can purchase it via Ubisoft's website. It is far different from other entrants in the series as War Chest is not based on a historical epoch, but of various toys; this ranges from small teddy bears to gigantic fighting robots.

Two spin-off games in the series were also released: Toy Soldiers: Match Defense and Toy Soldiers: Boot Camp.
