Description[]
The task of the howitzers is to fire at enemy ground units from a great distance before they reach the actual defensive line of machine guns and mortars. Depending on the Tier, they are differently effective against ground units and have different fire ranges. While the smaller guns have a rather short range and are only effective against soft and lightly armored units, the larger guns can shoot far behind enemy lines and usually destroy everything with one hit in a huge area.
Their only significant disadvantage is that they cannot fire at targets that are directly in front of them.
